The Ritz-Carlton Spa Charlotte is a bi-level spa at the top of the Uptown Ritz-Carlton, with sheer-curtained skyline views and a Himalayan salt room as its signature. The heat lives in separate men's and women's Vitality Lounges, each with a dry sauna, a steam room, showers and lockers, while the co-ed Aqua Lounge pairs a chlorine-free, bromine-treated indoor lap pool with a whirlpool, a living wall and lanterns. Treatments lean on organic skincare and on honey from the hotel's rooftop beehives. The spa is appointment-only and for guests 18 and over (salon services are open to all ages). Booking any treatment gets you the sauna, steam and lounges for the day. Without a treatment, hotel guests pay $50 a day for the Vitality and Relaxation Lounges, and non-hotel guests can buy a $175 day of full spa facility access Monday to Thursday only (not Fridays, weekends or holidays). Spa hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. most days and until 8 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays; arrive 15 minutes early, expect a 20% gratuity added to services, and cancel 24 hours ahead to avoid the full charge. This is Charlotte's most central place for a full spa day: a treatment followed by steam, the salt room and a swim above Uptown. Signature options include a 90-minute Himalayan salt stone massage and the Ritz-Carlton wellness journeys.
