The Salt Center: Float & Wellness Spa

The Salt Center is a float and halotherapy spa in a Holcomb Bridge Road shopping center on the Alpharetta-Roswell line, and in recent years it has added real heat and cold to its salt rooms and float suites. The contrast side is a set of private suites, each with its own dry sauna (160-210°F), a cold plunge tank held around 40°F and a shower, booked for 60 minutes at a time. A separate Sunlighten infrared sauna with chromotherapy lighting runs up to 45-minute sessions, and the rest of the menu covers a dry salt room, two float suites, Ion Cleanse foot baths, Normatec compression and massage. Everything is booked by appointment. A 60-minute contrast session is $55 (new clients can try three for $60), an infrared session is $49 with a guest for $25 more, and unlimited memberships run $175 a month for contrast therapy or $199 for infrared, both with a free friend and a three-month minimum. A $35 weekday membership discounts every service. Bring a swimsuit for the contrast suite, and ask for coaching on a first plunge. It is open every day, 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Because the suites are private and a friend rides along on memberships, this is an easy first contrast session for couples or anyone nervous about a public plunge, and an easy add-on to a float or salt session on the same visit.
