Carillon is the former Canyon Ranch on a 750-foot stretch of North Beach, and its spa and fitness complex, around 70,000 square feet, is one of the largest in the Southeast. The centerpiece is the Thermal Hydrotherapy Circuit, run as separate men's and women's hot-and-cold suites: a wood-lined Finnish sauna, an herbal laconium where herbs warm over hot stones, a Crystal Steam Room built around a big quartz crystal and colored light, a Vitality Tub with massage jets, heated ceramic loungers under a starlit ceiling, three experiential rain showers, and an igloo that fills with menthol, mint or eucalyptus Arctic mist. A spring 2026 refresh reportedly added a larger cold plunge pool, a Himalayan salt-walled salt room and an outdoor hydrotherapy garden. Non-guests come in on a spa day pass, which is for adults 18 and over (under-18s only as hotel guests). On ResortPass the Spa Day Pass + Thermal Hydrotherapy Circuit is currently from $169 per adult and also covers the outdoor heated pool and whirlpool, beach loungers, towels, locker rooms and complimentary valet; Groupon and promo rates sometimes dip lower, and bundles with a massage or facial run a little higher. The thermal circuit is open 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays and 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekends. Plan on a full day: work the circuit in the morning, break for the beach, and come back for a second round before close. The day pass does not include the fitness center. Carillon brands itself a wellness resort rather than a hotel with a spa, and it shows in the menu: cryotherapy, an infrared body-sculpting pod, a salt float bath and a wellness concierge for non-hotel guests at (866) 276-2226. If you only care about heat and cold, the circuit alone justifies the trip up Collins.
