The Spa at Grand Sierra Resort
2500 E 2nd St, Reno, NV
The Spa at Grand Sierra Resort is the wellness floor of the big resort on East Second Street, near the airport and the Truckee River. Its heat is set up the classic casino-spa way: separate men's and women's lounges, each with a dry cedar sauna, a eucalyptus steam room, a jacuzzi, showers and lockers. A pass also gets you all-day use of the resort pool and a fitness center with cardio machines and free weights. Access is easy. A $75 day pass (18+, valid ID) is sold first come, first served and is good only on the day you buy it. Or book any treatment of $75 or more per person and the same facilities come with it. Prices can rise during peak periods and events. Residents within 50 miles get 20% off treatments and day passes Sunday through Thursday, holidays excluded. Hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday and until 7 p.m. Friday through Sunday, so plan an earlier visit than at the other resort spas. The spa leans social. Its Relaxation Lounge can be booked for bridal showers and birthdays, with packages that bundle four or six day passes and a discount on same-day treatments. That makes it one of the simpler ways in Reno to get a group into the sauna and steam together.
