The Spa at The Ritz-Carlton, Fort Lauderdale

1 N Fort Lauderdale Beach Blvd, Fort Lauderdale, FL

The Spa at The Ritz-Carlton, Fort Lauderdale is an 8,500-square-foot beachfront spa at the foot of Las Olas Boulevard, renovated in 2015 with marble and mosaic-tile wet areas. Men and women each get their own sauna and steam room, then share a co-ed relaxation lounge looking toward the ocean. There is no cold plunge; showers are the only cold. Non-guests can buy a Men's or Women's Spa Pass on ResortPass from about $85 (adults 18+), which covers the sauna, steam room, lounge, lockers and showers, robe, towels and slippers, light snacks, tea, coffee and a glass of sparkling wine; no treatment is required. Adding a treatment (pedicure from about $125, facials, massages and body scrubs around $295) bundles the spa pass in, and a separate $60 pool day pass covers the heated pool but not the sauna. Spa hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday to Thursday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday to Sunday, so go early to get a full afternoon of rounds. It is a simple no-treatment way into a hotel sauna on the beach: buy the pass, alternate steam and sauna, and finish with the champagne in the lounge.
