Tierra Luna Spa (Arizona Biltmore)

2400 E Missouri Ave, Phoenix, AZ

Tierra Luna Spa is the spa of the Arizona Biltmore, the Frank Lloyd Wright-influenced 1929 resort in the Biltmore district, rebuilt in 2023 with a new outdoor Sol Garden. That garden is the reason to come: a cold plunge pool and a hot tub set among ocotillo coves with an outdoor rain shower and views of Piestewa Peak, plus a Himalayan salt chamber for halotherapy and aroma-infused steam rooms inside. There is no dry sauna, so the circuit here is steam, hot tub, plunge, rain shower and a long rest on a chaise. The non-hotel route in is the DayDream Spa Pass, sold through ResortPass from about $125 per adult and valid Monday through Thursday only: it includes the steam rooms, the Sol Garden plunge and hot tub, the relaxation lounge, a locker with robe and slippers, the 3,000-square-foot fitness center, the Catalina Pool and complimentary valet, with a 20 percent service fee charged on site. On Fridays through Sundays you need a treatment (ResortPass bundles Luna Spa treatments with pool access), and the spa is 18 and over throughout. The pass does not cover the Paradise and Saguaro pools with the waterslide, which have their own day pass. Spa and Sol Garden hours are 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily. Tierra Luna holds a Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star rating and leans into the resort's desert-and-cosmos theme, with treatments using local mud and herbs and a wellness bar mixing zero-proof drinks; the DayDream pass is one of the better-value resort circuits in Phoenix on a weekday.
