Camelback Village is the original of the four Village Health Clubs & Spas, a racquet-and-fitness club on Camelback Road in Arcadia that has grown into a resort-style campus with a year-round outdoor lap and leisure pool, tennis, pickleball, squash, racquetball and basketball courts, an indoor track, a Kids Club, the Village Café and a VLounge bar. The locker rooms carry the full Village thermal set: private showers, a steam room, a dry sauna, a jacuzzi and cold plunges, and the club is the one Village lists with a dedicated Recovery Suite as well. Village does not sell a day pass, and it does not publish membership prices (one DC Ranch-only Young Professionals offer is advertised at $199 a month for ages 22-31). A non-member gets in two ways: the Wellness Spa is open to the public and a 60-minute or longer service, from about $150 for a Signature Massage on ResortPass or booked direct, includes all-day access to the club and its locker-room sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and cold plunge; or a local, first-time visitor aged 24 or over can request a free seven-day VIP trial membership online. Members also receive guest passes. The spa runs Tuesday through Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.; the club itself opens at 5 a.m. on weekdays and 6 a.m. on weekends. It is a social club as much as a gym, with community events, a boutique and member workspaces, and members get 10 percent off spa services. Bring a swimsuit for the pool and jacuzzi; towels and day lockers are provided.
