WorldSprings
3240 Plano Pkwy, The Colony, TX
WorldSprings is an open-air mineral-springs park that opened in June 2024 on a sprawling plot at Grandscape in The Colony, a social bathing complex of 46 outdoor soaking pools, seven saunas and four cold plunges that stays open year-round. The pools are grouped by region and each is blended to copy a famous spring: the magnesium Globe Pool and ten hot pools in The Oasis, a Dead Sea pool salty enough to float in, Blue Lagoon and Chianciano waters in the European quarter, Hokkaido- and Osaek-inspired baths under Sukiya-style timber in the Asiatic quarter, and Fuentes Georginas and Tolantongo waters in the Americas. Temperatures run from about 85 to 104°F, signposted at every pool. Sauna cabins (Finnish, Himalayan salt, red light, aromatherapy, chromotherapy and one big barrel sauna) sit in each region beside fire pits and cabanas, and the cold plunges hold 45-55°F depending on the season. Passes are timed: a 3-Hour Pass starts at $75 and a Day Pass with same-day re-entry at $85, with prices rising by date and arrival time (weekend day passes land around $95-106 and an evening pass has been offered from $55). Members pay $159 a month for four passes or $948/$1,788 a year for weekday or anytime access. The whole property is 16 and over with a physical photo ID required at the gate, the cold plunges are adults only, and swimsuits are mandatory; a towel and an RFID locker are included, robes rent for $10, and the locker rooms have hot showers, products and swimsuit dryers. Reserve ahead for weekends, sign the waiver online, and arrive within 15 minutes of your slot. Soaks run 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 9 a.m. Friday through Sunday; the Springs Café & Bar serves poolside and outside food is not allowed. Leave jewelry and smartwatches in the locker, since the minerals tarnish metal. The daily Aufguss is the one scheduled thing worth planning around: a sauna master works essential oils, music and lighting through waves of heat, then leads the room out to an outdoor rinse and a group cold plunge. Cabanas (from $100, up to six people) and a spa with massages and facials make it an easy group or bachelorette day.
